The Southport Chamber of Commerce recently held an event on the challenges of modern-day policing. Superintendent of Gold Coast Police District, Brett Jackson APM, went though the challenges of managing 11 police divisions on the Gold Coast and over 1,000 police personal. Topics ranged from domestic and family violence, cybercrime, rapid action patrol, homeless, beat walking, technology, strategy, culture and leadership.
